A LITTLE BIT ABOUT OUR FARM
THE FRIESIAN FEVER
Camelot Friesians, LLC began back in 2004 when we purchased our first part-Friesian mare, Ladyhawke. After admiring the beautiful breed in photographs and then finally visiting a Friesian in person, we felt there was no other horse in the world that could compare to the Friesian's beauty. Until that point, the only horse on our farm was Cat, our Quarter Horse x Arab gelding.
A CONTINUING PASSION
Our stallion Warlock and our mares Jessica, Uniqua, Mystere, and Weja arrived at our farm over the last few years.
In the spring of 2009, Ladyhawke foaled our first foal born on the farm. The colt is the only foal by our stallion, Warlock. The foal much to our surprise, came out chestnut (Jillis and Laes)! He is maturing into a gorgeous red Friesian with flaxen feathers and a tricolored (chestnut, henna and flaxen) tail.
Each of our mares is unique in personality and appearance. Each one has traits that make her special as a broodmare. Our goal is to breed foals that are the best combination of bloodline, resulting in low breeding coefficients and high quality healthy foals that will adapt well to any sport discipline. All of our foals are imprinted at birth and handled daily. As a result they are very friendly, curious, easy to handle and easy to train as they get older.
